In Response to Recent Social Incidents in Hong Kong

Hong Kong youngsters are experiencing emotional turbulence triggered by recent social incidents starting from early June. Millions of people take to streets with doubts, frustrations and anger resulted by the Government's extradition bill.

From 12 June to 31 July, the Federation's Youthline and uTouch Cyber Youth Counselling have handled 330 cases related to the social issue, with 10 percent of cases identified to be apparently frustrated, emotionally unsettled, feeling helpless and hopeless, or even have suicidal ideation.

Our hotline and online counselling service has been strengthened by manpower and service hour extension during the period, in order to offer instant and timely emotional support to youngsters. Parents are also welcome to reach out to our Parent Support Network.  Remember help is always available, and together we can get through all ups and downs.
