Help startups to grow business online
Online shopping has long been the norm, not only in Hong Kong but around the world, especially among young people. So how can we facilitate young entrepreneurs to make the most of online shopping to grow their own businesses?
The HKFYG's Social Innovation and Youth Business Unit (SIC) is ready for the task to help and together with Facebook, has launched an online programme, "SIC X IG Academy", for youth aged 18-35 who either already own, or plan to set up their own startups.
From December 2020 through April 2021, young people will learn about the potential of Instagram (IG), one of the most popular social media platforms, to be used as an effective marketing channel. With the help of Facebook professionals, they will be introduced to tips about brand building, broadening fan base, posting stories and placing advertisements. The young entrepreneurs will also meet famous KOLs and successful Instagram entrepreneurs who will share their own business journeys.
In addition, there will be two online business consultation sessions for participants to get particular and specific advice on their own startup ideas. Placements in selected shops will be offered to outstanding participants, who can then put theory into practice and harness their online business skills.
If you want to join this unique and positive adventure, either as an entrepreneur or mentor, let us know now! The deadline for applications is 11 December 2020.
