Cope with A.I. Challenges
Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) has been improving the efficiency in business and transforming the future of our everyday life. Yet, it's impacts on youth have led to a list of controversial issues, particularly where malicious media use is concerned.
The Federation is launching "Project MAIL", focusing on issues around Media, Artificial Intelligence and Literacy in order to help youth to tackle the potential problems in the A.I. era. With the generous support of the Quality Education Fund, the Project aims to equip junior secondary students with the knowledge and positive values of media literacy to cope with the rapid development of A.I., enhance teachers' digital competence and raise public awareness.
The Project will nurture our new generation with the future skills to be digital citizens, covering topics on fact-checking, media ethics, copyright issues and more. In addition to integrated A.I. learning and localized media literacy courses for students, the Project will also assist schools to develop school-based MAIL curriculum; provide trainings and consultation sessions; arrange class observation for knowledge transfer among teachers as well as community programme for general public. The Project will serve more than 100,000 people in three years.
