Startup Now

In today's world, to stay competitive in business, technology and innovation are the keys. This has led to the emergence of the so-called 'Techpreneurs' - entrepreneurs who fashion their business ideas and create their business models around technology.

With generous support from the Lo Kwee Seong Foundation, the Federation launched the Young Techpreneur Project for those between 18 and 35 who are interested in starting a business, with a heavy reliance on innovation and technology. This project aims to provide the participants with entrepreneurial support and networking opportunities to nurture them as successful Techpreneurs.

Starting from January 2022, 15 teams, made up of aspiring Techpreneurs, will be shortlisted to attend a series of training workshops. These will cover everything from entrepreneurship to digital technology, and from data management to proposal-writing and pitching skills.

On completion of the training, the Federation's invited business partners, including senior executives, consultants and entrepreneurs, will serve as mentors in a series of Business Clinics which will provide further professional advice and support. Six outstanding business proposals will then be selected to receive an interest-free loan of up to HK$100,000. They will also be provided with access, for a year, of free hot desk services provided by the HKFYG Jockey Club Social Innovation Centre to actualize their ideas into a real business.

The age of the Techpreneur is near. Join us to startup now!
