Explore the West Kowloon Cultural District in the community through the Sunset Portal
Where would you like to go for a wonderful day with art and cultural events, leisure time along the waterfront and the magnificent sunset view? The West Kowloon Cultural District (the District) would definitely be your first choice. This summer, we are going to bring the District to you! In collaboration with the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, the Federation is going to launch a series of programmes across the city, with the aim to invite members of the public to know more about the District and encourage them to visit the District.
West Kowloon Sunset Cultural Portal 2022 will be held from 17 August to 12 September. Over 70 online and onsite programmes will be conducted with the theme of sharing the sunset view in the District. Various online workshops include Carton Cajon DIY Workshops, Xiqu Paper Headdress Workshops, Neon Sign DIY Workshops, Aroma Stone Workshops, Pastel Nagomi Art Workshops, and more.
Inspired by the magnificent sunset view of the District, an art installation of the portal connecting the District and the community, will be presented in Wan Chai at Lee Tung Avenue (28 - 30 August) and HarbourChill (1 - 12 September). To further engage the community, the Community Event Day will be held at Lee Tung Avenue on 28 August, inviting members of the public to enjoy programmes including live performances and exhibition, not to mention the onsite workshops such as Modern Artistic Button Workshops, Fotomo Workshop and Storytelling under the Sunset.
Youth volunteers will promote the District and encourage you to have a closer look of the District in the community through this West Kowloon Sunset Portal!
