Support Science Learning for Children

Not every child has the same exposure that enables them to develop to their fullest potential, but the Federation tries its best to reach those from disadvantaged backgrounds through the Learn with Fun Programme.

With the support of Genki Sushi since 2017, every purchase of the 'Kids Sushi Set', a portion of the profit is donated to the Programme which covers a wide array of STEAM activities for underprivileged children.

Over the past two years, the Programme has benefitted over 8,000 students through game-based STEAM workshops, focusing on Holographic Projectors, Bluetooth Speaker Production, STEAM Air Vehicle Courses, Unmanned Aircraft Courses and more; all of which has fostered creativity in the children as it helps them develop essential skills to be future-ready. In this Programme, the Federation has also trained a young group of mentors to the STEAM workshops, thereby enriching their experiences and passing on peer to peer development.

Last summer, a Learn with Fun Creative Carnival was held at the HKFYG Jockey Club Cheung Wah Youth SPOT, where around ten mini STEAM workshops were conducted for children between the ages of 6 to 12. The young participants were able to learn about computer coding, environmental protection using mechanics and different chemical principle. In December, a Day Camp will enable another 200 children to have their own immersive STEAM learning experiences.

For all children to have these kinds of exposures, consider buying a 'Kid's Sushi Set' at Genki Sushi, or call us for other ways that you can help bring different learning experiences to children in need.
