Connect and Help the Community

The Federation understands the importance of partnership with others in the community to help serve young people. We are grateful for all our cross-sector collaborations, which go a long way in building up an inclusive society.

Therefore, together with support from the HSBC Hong Kong Community Partnership Programme, the Federation is launching three projects this year, strengthening the capabilities of young people through a series of district-based initiatives.

Tai Po Community Co-creation Project will encourage students who are passionate in design to re-decorate shops with not only items to sell, but re-create decors with a modern feel to energise the area. This creative project will be able to connect locals and visitors in looking afresh at an historical district.

Tapping into the vast resources of youth, especially the disadvantaged in the Northern District, the Green Future Skills Development Project will provide opportunities to develop the necessary skills for a green career. The participants will have on-the-job experiences, training and learn about sustainability. There will also be a "GREENtival" weekend market for the public and learn more about eco-living.

The CHILL Smart Academy focuses on bridging both the inter-generational and digital divides in Tsuen Wan District by engaging young people to help the elderly learn and adopt digital technologies. As the elderly will learn to access different mobile and online information on living and all-round wellness with guidance, the young participants will learn patience, empathy, communication skills and cognitive flexibility.

Come and join us as a collaborative partner. We need you to connect and help build a sustainable and inclusive community.
