Supporting Youth to Pursue Dreams

The path to pursuing dreams can be both exciting and daunting to young people; however, the rewards can be immeasurable, leading to a fulfilled and meaningful life. The Youth Employment Network of HKFYG is therefore launching a programme in pursuit of passion.

Through the three year "Guiding Dreams" programme, which focuses on secondary students, the Federation is once again partnering with the Youth Development Commission. This version of the programme, 2.0, consists of two parts. The first, Dreams with You, brings junior secondary school students and their parents together to explore potential career paths with a variety of activities, including career workshops and overnight camp.

The second, Dreams Come True, provides senior secondary students with a series of exploration workshops and seminars, as well as life sharing stories by celebrities and industry leaders. Through these events, it is hoped that they will be able to identify their passions and apply what they've gained into some kind of action. This they will then draft a proposal to achieve their dreams and share through social media in what will be called Dreamstagram Week, as they gain in confidence. Their experiences will be judged and the winners will be awarded cash prizes for producing the "Best Dreamstagram of the Year".

Help these young people dream and then make their dreams a reality!
