Empowering Young Changemakers
Environmental protection and sustainability are not just problems "out there". They affect us with as much urgency, contributing to the critical importance of these issues on a global scale. Already young people are leading the change to address the problems, and we believe that more can be done to nurture them as impactful leaders.
To tap into young people's innovative and creative mindset, the Federation's Social Innovation and Youth Business Unit has launched the "Changemaker - Social Innovation Journey" Programme with support from the Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation. This Programme is designed to facilitate local secondary students from Form 3 to Form 5 with the skills and knowledge needed to become changemakers.
In this Programme, 80 students will learn about social innovation and sustainable development from multiple perspectives, using design thinking to explore innovative solutions to community problems. The half-year Programme includes social innovation workshops, a three-day tour to Greater Bay Area cities, coaching support and a showcase for the students' work in which the winning teams will be awarded book vouchers totaling HKD10,000.
We hope this journey fosters continuous development and encourages young people to become active and engaged citizens who are committed to driving positive change, not only for their futures, but for all of us. Become one of our strategic partners and build a sustainable community together!
