Unearthing Literary Treasures
Looking for a literary adventure this summer? Look no further than The Hong Kong Book Fair!
From 19 to 25 July, the Federation once again takes to the floor of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, transforming its Booth into a heaven for writers and speakers to talk about their experiences and thoughts with book lovers.
Being part of the Book Fair is something of which we are proud. Not only does it help in share joy and discovery with our readers, it also allows us to promote promising and upcoming literary talents.
Our books this year cover a range of issues; from our featured book, This is Mental Illness, a personal and very touching journey of a young writer who was diagnosed with mental illness, and supplemented with professional views, to Cats in Shops, a whimsical exploration of the interaction between animals, humans and the environment. We have mystery in the form of The Milk Tea Crime Cases, written by an award-winning young writer and Cliff Song, a poignant book about the small and hard-to-talk-about pains in life. There are so many other titles to come and browse through.
To top this all off, we also have talks by university presidents and vice-chancellors as they chat about their learning journeys through the "How do Educators Learn?" series. We also have The Hong Kong Creative Writing Competition and School Young Writers Awards Ceremony, which will celebrate talented young writers. Sponsored by The Standing Committee on Language Education and Research, Dr. David Y.K. Wong, GBS, JP, Chairman of Education Commission will be our Guest of Honour.
All-in-all, so many things to do, to read, to learn, to enjoy. Come visit us at Booth 1A-D16 and find out for yourselves!
See you at the Fair!
