Harnessing Creativity for Good

Social innovation has taken firm root in Hong Kong. By harnessing the power of collective creativity and a sense of social responsibility, Hong Kong is forging a path towards a more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient society.

Supported by The Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged and King's Flair International (Holdings) Limited, the Federation is organising its inaugural "Think Big!" Festival from 16th to 18th December at the Xiqu Centre. This three-day Festival offers a diverse range of social innovation elements aim at immersing participants in various social innovation initiatives and inspiring their imagination which include seminars, an exhibition showcase, community cultural tours, a debate competition, and more.

Renowned speakers and guests will share their experience and valuable insights on illustration, design, traditional crafts, sustainable development, and multicultural integration. Through these perspectives, young people will have the opportunity to explore the concepts of sustainable community development and social innovation.

Emphasising the significance of community cultural tours, the Festival will feature visits to iconic locations connecting different themes, such as exploring heritage in Wanchai, appreciating cultural conservation in PMQ, indulging in community history in Sham Shui Po and understanding ethnic minorities in Tsim Sha Tsui. Through these tours, participants will rediscover their communities and delve into the realm of sustainable development within their localities.

Social innovation is a mindset. Join us and support the journey of social innovation of young people, encouraging the sharing of best practices that amplify the impact of social innovation initiatives.

Graduation Ceremony of Strive and Rise Programme
On November 4th, a graduation ceremony was held to celebrate the successful graduation of the first cohort of 2,800 students of the government-led Strive and Rise Programme, as well as to express gratitude to the mentors for their invaluable support.

The Federation, serving as the Central Coordinator, is actively engaged in collaboration with Social Welfare Department and six other organisations to drive forward the Programme, to address inter-generational poverty by providing assistance and support to underprivileged students.
