Walking Together into the New Year

As we bid farewell to the old year and welcome in a new one, what better accompaniment than hope and what more an opportune time to focus on fresh aspirations and personal development? This was the guiding force behind a 24-km walking challenge.

On 31 December 2023, 32 young people undertook a 24-km New Year Walkathon Challenge, starting at the HKFYG Tsuen Wan Youth S.P.O.T. and finishing at HKFYG Building in North Point on 1 January 2024.

As a testament to testing their own abilities and resilience, the Walkathon helped to unlock their potential, surpass limits, and uplift others in the process. This empowering challenge not only tested physical endurance but also brought together like-minded young people, united in their pursuit of personal growth and empowerment. Over the course of approximately 10 hours, participants conquered obstacles, celebrated companionship and discovered the depths of their inner strength, as they imagined their futures.

The Federation is proud of these young people and we know that with your invaluable trust, partnership and support, we can continue to provide more quality and professional youth services to inspire young people, for their growth, resilience and fostering a sense of community.

Together, we can accomplish remarkable feats! Happy New Year!
