Inspire and Support Future Scientists and Innovators

How do we get young minds to think about real-world challenges and then encourage them to pioneer practical solutions that will not only shape their future, but transform their present?

By providing them with opportunities to learn, experiment and have fun! Jointly organised by the Federation, The Education Bureau and The Hong Kong Science Museum, and supported by The Innovation and Technology Commission, The Hong Kong Young Academy of Sciences, Hong Kong Design Institute and IVE (Lee Wai Lee), The Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition has been a popular and well supported programme that fosters young people’s interest in science and technology, nurtures their creativity and innovative mindset and inspires their intellectual growth and career paths.

The theme of this year’s Competition is, “Inspiration from Living ‧ Innovation from Science” with a focus on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. The participants will be able to take part in a series of science and innovation-related training workshops and seminars covering various aspects, including research techniques, literature reviews, data analysis, design thinking and more.

Winning teams of the Junior and Senior Divisions might even have the opportunity to be sponsored to participate in overseas Science and Technology Exchange Programmes, which just furthers their horizons and fosters their global vision.

Show your support to these outstanding young visionaries by exploring the finalists’ work this Summer, as you join us in celebrating the triumphs of our future scientists and innovators.
