Sustainable Entrepreneurship

Imagine a world where green solutions thrive and sustainable practices flourish. The HKFYG and Rosewood Foundation have collaborated to launch the "Rosewood Foundation Entrepreneurship Award" to support young entrepreneurs in combining their passion for "doing good" with business, and to unlock their creativity and talents by connecting them with resources and support mechanisms.

The Award aims to encourage and recognise innovative young entrepreneurs who have contributed to Hong Kong's sustainable development. By providing a scale-up funding of HK$100,000 for each winning business, as well as the opportunity to explore business collaborations with the Rosewood Hotel Group as a recognition of their brilliant ideas, small businesses can accelerate growth and impact.

The Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, the Hon Alice Mak; Rosewood Foundation Chairperson and Rosewood Hotel Group Chief Executive Officer, Sonia Cheng; and the HKFYG Executive Director, Hsu Siu-man officiated at the award presentation ceremony, pledging to support young local entrepreneurs, encourage ideas exchange, and champion innovative sustainable solutions, showing the unwavering support for these aspiring youth entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 35 with businesses operating for one to five years. Meticulously selected by two rounds of professional judges, five winning enterprises include sustainable events curation, innovative green cleaning technology, electricity-free cooling technology, preservation of traditional local pastry culture while minimising food waste, and plastic waste upcycling.

Together, we are not only promoting entrepreneurial spirit for dynamic economy but also sustainable development of society.  Let's empower the next generation of change-makers.
