Get Healthy! Be Active! Play Sports!
No one would argue against exercising, and young people, it is shown, much prefer getting involved in sporting activities with others. Now with Hong Kong preparing for some major sporting events, what better time to encourage inclusivity through accessibility and training in Tag Rugby?
Supported by the Tencent Foundation and the Gaw Capital People’s Place, the HKFYG Community Team Sports Office is one of the organisers of The Sports Charity Programme, an initiative to promote sports development and assist young individuals in discovering their life direction, while fostering a positive outlook, through a variety of sports trainings.
Under this Programme, the Federation will focus on Tag Rugby, offering professional training for children aged 8 to 11. By utilising Tag Rugby, we not only introduce this fun sport to those for whom it might be unfamiliar, but we will be aligning with the upcoming 2025 National Games. Through the trainings we will also promote positivity through a framework of “Learn, Live, Teach, Integrate”.
The five month training programme will commence with a ceremony and sports carnival on 23 March at H.A.N.D.S. in Tuen Mun. This event will feature emerging sports experience booths and physical challenge stations, including reaction lights, speed ladders, and an obstacle race, providing everyone with the opportunity to test their physical fitness and willpower.
Join us in our mission by creating an environment and encouraging young people to get healthy and get active through playing sports!

Our Deepest Condolences
It is with great sadness we learnt about the passing of Dr Lee Shau Kee, GBM, a long time friend, supporter and cheerleader of young people in Hong Kong. Through his partnership with The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, we were able to provide educational, recreational and development programmes to youth all over the city.
We are honoured and humbled that by allowing us to use his name – the HKFYG Lee Shau Kee College, the Lee Shau Kee Primary School and the Lee Shau Kee Youth Exchange Fund – his legacy of service will be remembered. Thank you Sir, and our deepest condolences to your family, with whom we both mourn and rejoice for a life long and well lived.
