Awakening the Dragon!

In traditional culture, the mythological dragon is revered as an iconic figure, symbolising leadership and embodying qualities such as perseverance, unity and positivity. Its significance transcends time, flowing through history that shapes a profound and vibrant cultural legacy.

Since 2011, the Federation has been organising an annual China Week, with different thematic foci each year. This year, in collaboration with The Dragon Foundation which celebrates its 25th anniversary, the Week looks at the theme of " Soaring Dragon—Inheriting its Culture and Spirit”. The goal is to gather young people of Chinese from Hong Kong and abroad as 'Descendants of the Dragon' to showcase their talents and courage, while conveying a vibrant spirit to give back to their community.

This year, there will be a series of activities, including an AI Creative Competition with a Kick-off Ceremony and Award Presentation. Participants can enhance their creativity and technological skills through the Competition while deepening their sense of Chinese identity, through thematic seminars which will facilitate a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and history. Alongside, exhibitions and interactive workshops will be held, where students will have the opportunity to appreciate precious cultural relics from various dynasties in China, including dragon-patterned ceramics and jade artifacts.

Please support us in empowering young people to appreciate Chinese culture. Join us as we travel through tradition to learn, explore, and gain a deeper appreciation of Chinese culture through the magnificent legacy of the dragon!
