Soaring into Heritage: Celebrating the Dragon's Legacy at HKFYG China Week
On 2 July, China Week 2025 celebrated the Federation's 65th anniversary and the Dragon Foundation's 25th under the theme “The Soaring Dragon: Inheriting the Culture and Spirit of the Dragon.” Distinguished guests included Miss Rosanna Law, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism. The event featured an AI-generated dragon art competition and various workshops, aimed at deepening young participants' understanding of the dragon's cultural significance and strengthening their connections to their heritage.

Empowering Change: Celebrating the Next Generation of Innovators in the Innovation and Technology Scholarship 2025
On 26 June, Professor Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry and other distinguished guests, joined us to celebrate the achievements of 25 local undergraduates passionate about driving social change through innovation and technology. Each awardee received scholarships of up to HK$150,000 and access to elite training opportunities, including internships and mentorships. Congratulations to the awardees!

Blast Off into Creativity: Hong Kong Creative Maths and Science 4D Frame Competition
On 5 July, HKFYG held the Hong Kong Creative Maths and Science 4D Frame Competition, themed "Space Exploration." Nearly 200 students participated, creating unique 4D Frame models that combine astronomy and aerospace knowledge with creativity and STEAM thinking. Winning teams will represent Hong Kong at the International Math Science Creativity Competition, engaging with outstanding teams worldwide.

HKFYG Survey Results on Social Media Usage Habits and Emotional Health

Key findings
●  Nearly 80% of surveyed youth engage with social media for more than 4 hours each day.
●  Increased social media usage is linked to heightened anxiety levels.
●  Higher usage of social media is associated with a greater inclination toward comparative behaviors, including comparing body image; evaluating appearance; assessing lifestyle and experiences; and nostalgia about the past.
●  Engagement in social comparison on these platforms is a significant contributor to "social comparison anxiety," adversely affecting emotional well-being.
