Youth in Smart Logistics
Logistics isn’t just about moving stuff—it’s about moving forward! In today’s world, logistics is where smart technology meets global trade, offering endless opportunities for young people eager to be part of something fast-paced and future-focused. For students curious about how technology is transforming the way the world connects, the logistics industry is the perfect place to start exploring. But how?
To open these doors, the Federation’s Youth Employment Network is launching the “Smart Logistics Pioneer – Youth Experience Programme”. Supported by the Logistics Promotion Funding Scheme, the Programme is designed for secondary school students who want to see what the logistics industry is really like. Instead of just learning in a classroom, participants get involved, shadowing professionals in real logistics companies; trying out roles in administration, operations, or marketing; and seeing smart logistics technology in action. Each student is paired with an industry mentor, ready to share insider tips and help them make the most of their experience.
Before heading into their placements, students will join a practical workshop to get ready for the workplace. The workshop covers essential skills like communication, workplace etiquette, and how to make a great first impression. After the job shadowing, participants come together for a sharing session, where they swap stories, reflect on what they’ve learned, and get inspired about their next steps, whether that means further study or jumping straight into a future career.
The Programme is more than just a learning opportunity, it’s a stepping stone for young people to discover a world of innovation. Support us and let’s unlock their potential in one of the world’s most exciting industries!
