Stepping Beyond Boundaries: A Bold Start to 2026
There is no more powerful way to welcome 2026 than by testing our limits and proving our resolve.
This was exactly the spirit on display at the HKFYG Youth S.P.O.Ts New Year Challenge, where 50 courageous young people gathered to "Step Beyond Boundaries".
To kickstart the year with energy and purpose, these spirited individuals swapped their holiday lie-ins for the rugged trails on 30 December 2025. By choosing the path of most resistance, they proved they are ready to meet the new year head-on.
Participants demonstrated incredible mental and physical fortitude by taking on one of two demanding routes:
- The Challenger (26km): A rigorous 5 to 6 hour trek
- The Ultimate Challenger (46km): A demanding 11 hour endurance test
Every participant was recognised with a Commencement Medal for taking the first step, with further awards presented to those who displayed the endurance to finish the challenge.
We are incredibly proud of these young leaders. Their dedication serves as a powerful reminder that with a clear goal and a steady pace, no distance is too great to overcome.
May the persistence shown on the trails set the tone for a brilliant and impactful 2026 for us all! Wishing you a Happy and Successful New Year!

Small Flags, Big Impact: The HKFYG Territory-wide Flag Day 2025
Our Flag Day on 27 December 2025 was a resounding success! Alongside traditional street sales, we were thrilled to launch our inaugural "Run for Flags". Carrying their flag bags with pride, 20 young runners completed a 5km route at the East Coast Park Precinct, raising vital funds while championing the benefits of physical health and sport.

Dragon 100: Global Youth Leaders Explore Sustainability in the GBA
Supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Dragon 100 brought 100 global Chinese youth leaders to the GBA from 17 to 24 December 2025. Exploring "Sustainability through the Dongjiang Water System," participants engaged in ESG discussions and site visits, fostering regional collaboration and green innovation to pioneer sustainable solutions for a global future.
