Guarding against Scamming
Online scams are evolving fast, and young people often find themselves on the front line. What should we do?
To tackle this growing threat, the HKFYG and the Hong Kong Police Force have launched the Youth No Scam Protection Hub, supported by the Greater Bay Area Homeland Youth Community Foundation. The Hub unites law enforcement, social services , the psychiatric community, academia and the financial sector under one goal: building a sustainable, youth-centred anti‑scam ecosystem that protects, educates, and empowers.
1. Professional support and intervention
A streamlined referral system connects affected youth and their families with professional social workers for timely counselling and emotional support.
2. Immersive prevention education
Interactive workshops for secondary students and parents cover crisis traps, emerging scam trends, and practical preventive strategies to prevent and avoid scams.
3. Evidence-based advocacy
Continuous research and the annual Youth Anti-Scam Report provide actionable insights to help stakeholders stay ahead of new fraud trends.
By protecting youth today, we're shaping confident, informed digital citizens for tomorrow. We invite partners to join us in building a safer, more resilient digital future together.
