25 -27 April | Priority Enrolment Days: Online registration is open exclusively for those with a valid online ticket
28 April onwards | General Online Enrolment: Registration opens to the general public via the website
2 May onwards | In-person Enrolment: You may register in person at any of our Youth S.P.O.Ts

Exploring Meaning and Growth: HKFYG x BMCPC
The Board of Management of the Chinese Permanent Cemeteries has awarded grants to three HKFYG projects. These initiatives aim to drive community benefit by increasing public participation and social integration, with a core focus on positive mindsets and life education.

Champions Crowned at English Public Speaking Contest 2026: Next Stop, London!
The HKFYG English Public Speaking Contest 2026 concluded on 11 April 2026. It engaged over 1,000 students from 120 schools. Cecilia HONG and Andrew James MAN were crowned champions, with Andrew advancing to the International Public Speaking Competition in London. The event also featured the inaugural Greater Bay Area Invitational Challenge, promoting linguistic and cultural exchange.

Running, Relays, and Resilience: HKFYG Sweeps Awards at 2026 Social Work Run
The HKFYG delivered a dominant performance at the 2026 Social Work Run on 12 April 2026. With a strong turnout of over 80 staff members and youth, the team secured the Overall Championship. Key highlights included winning the 4x1km Relay, a victorious debut in the Tug-of-War competition, and multiple individual podium finishes in the 3km and 5km races.

Tackling Extreme Weather: Young Scientists Shine at HKSSPC 2026 Final Judging
The Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition 2026 successfully concluded its final judging on 18 April 2026. Centered on the theme "Extreme Weather," the competition featured over 250 teams presenting innovative solutions to pressing environmental challenges.

Champion projects, including "Re:Page" and "Hydroguard," demonstrated exceptional STEM talent and creativity. These winning entries will be exhibited at the Hong Kong Science Museum on 9 May 2026 before advancing to represent Hong Kong on the international stage.

Youth I.D.E.A.S. think tank latest report No. 87 on "Prepared Dishes and Consumer Expectations in Hong Kong: Enhancing Information and Understanding"
Key findings
● 91.3% find it difficult to accurately identify prepared dishes in restaurants; 64.0% still maintain a prevailing expectation for cooked-to-order meals
● 44.3% hold a neutral view, citing concerns over a lack of flavour or “wok hei” (26.4%)
● While F&B professionals view prepared dishes as a practical solution to labour shortages and high costs, scholars confirm that modern technology effectively preserves nutrition and hygiene

Major recommendations
● Commission an independent study to launch a Voluntary Certification Scheme
● Establish Trade Descriptions Ordinance guidelines to clarify cooking method disclosures
● Increase public awareness through official guides and community funding programmes
