Not Tomorrow, Now: A Collective Commitment

Young people are not waiting for the future; they are already shaping it.

On 23 May 2026, the HKFYG 'Easy Volunteer' and 'Heart to Heart Project' Volunteer Service Award Ceremony celebrated the extraordinary contributions of a powerful community of over 7,000 volunteers and 100 teams, united by a shared purpose: to serve, to uplift, and to make a difference.

We also celebrated our Heart to Heart Companies and Heart to Heart Schools, whose steadfast support continues to nurture a culture of compassion and responsibility. Together, this collective has contributed an extraordinary 1.7 million hours of service, with each hour telling a story of care, commitment, and hope.

Under the theme 'Building a Sustainable Future Together', and in alignment with the United Nations International Volunteer Year for Sustainable Development, the Ceremony reaffirmed a simple but profound truth: when young people step forward to serve, they become a powerful force for connection, resilience and lasting change.

At the Ceremony, Legislative Council Member Mr Ngai Ming-tak highlighted 'Innovation, Collaboration, and Technology' as essential to addressing today's challenges. Our volunteers brought these ideas to life, not as abstract concepts, but as lived experiences, sharing their perspectives on issues ranging from intergenerational inclusion to ecological conservation, showcasing their indispensable role in development.

By harnessing the creativity and collaborative spirit of our youth, we are doing far more than addressing immediate needs; we are actively forging a sustainable and inclusive future for all.
