Getting Ready for the Future

AI is everywhere. Are young people ready? Are we?

To make sure we are AI ready, the Federation has launched its new Digital Education Framework, aligned with the Government’s Blueprint for Digital Education Development in Primary and Secondary Schools. Grounded in years of frontline educational experience, the framework offers a practical roadmap to strengthen local information and technology education and support future-ready learning.

Built around a Learning–Application–Articulation approach, the framework rests on three pillars:
  • 5 Main Technical Domains: Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Coding and Computational Thinking, Robotics and Internet of Things (IoT), and Media Culture and Algorithms
  • 5 Key Digital Qualities: Safety, Respect, Integrity and Lawfulness, Autonomy, and Responsible Technology Use
  • 5 Core Capabilities: Sound Decision-Making, Self-Awareness, Innovation, Adaptability, and Collaboration
Through school-based curriculum, hands-on learning and targeted teacher training, the framework equips primary and secondary students with the skills, values and confidence to become responsible digital citizens and lifelong learners.

A full resource database is now available on our Media and Information Literacy Resources Hub, supporting schools and the public in Hong Kong.

Together, we can help young people do more than adapt to a tech-driven world; we can empower them to lead it.

●  The Art of Being Wrong (正確之外) by Eden Liu (Salesian English School): A reflective look at 16 urban relationships, examining how we connect and disconnect through a uniquely "pathological" lens.
